Sound Ocean have a wonderful collection of gongs and other instruments that have been chosen with great care and brought together over the last five years (pictured to the right).
The gongs are tuned to be in harmony with celestial bodies and the elements. The Sun, Earth and Moon Gongs represent our cosmic origins and the Solar Flare and Wind Gongs ground us on our Earthly home. Sadja, the "Father of All" (in the centre) radiates the eternal "Om" enabling our heart's communication with our heavenly neighbours. Our latest addition, Shemoon- the Divine Feminine gong calls us to connect with the sacred feminine energies of the universe so needed on Earth today.
People typically lay down on yoga mats with a cozy blanket and a pillow and close their eyes. Sitting comfortably is also fine. At Sound Ocean we create a warm and comfortable atmosphere with candlelight and warm colours. And the thick walls of the medieval Gong Chamber ensure a quiet and secure experience away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
Gong baths and Sound meditations can have a very positive impact on our wellbeing, bringing us to states of calm, clarity, balance. People often report feeling deeply relaxed, having physical tensions and long-standing pain released, and sleeping very well for days afterward as they continue to vibrate in harmonic resonance on a cellular level.

Sound Therapies
Integral Sound Healing is highly effective at triggering our relaxation response, which counters the many symptoms caused by chronic stress, while helping to balance our whole being. The relaxation which ensues creates the environment for deep healing to take place.
Sound Therapy techniques are delivered using instruments such as Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, tuning forks, and more during a one-on-one sound healing session or group sound meditation.
Who we are
Sound Ocean Gong Baths and Journeys are performed by Christopher Triplett with frequent collaboration with Michaela Forrest both of whom trained with the Sound Healing Academy in the UK. Both Michaela and Christopher have also had extensive Shamanic practitioner training. Christopher, who has trained with some of the top gong teachers in the UK, concentrates on the gongs and Michaela plays the didgeridoo, crystal bowls, sings, drums, and plays the Ocean Drum too! Both Christopher and Michaela use shamanic drumming in group and individual sessions.
Both Michaela and Christopher offer private sound treatments and Michaela also holds a Women's Singing Circle twice a month.

Dream Tribe Ecstatic Dance
In the ancient practice of shamanism, ecstatic dance and rhythmic drumming are used to alter consciousness in spiritual practices. Ecstatic sacred dances are known also from religious traditions around the world. Modern ecstatic dance was revived by Gabrielle Roth in the 1970s and formalised in her 5Rhythms practice; it is now found in variants across the western world.
Dream Tribe hold Ecstatic Dance sessions monthly on the last Saturday. Every month the rhythms and beats of a different culture is highlighted with live percussion when possible.
We begin with a Cacao Ceremony and end with a short Gong Bath.

We provide yoga mats, blankets and cushions. if you have a preferred choice of warm covering please remember to bring this along.
The Gong Chamber is heated and comfortable.
If you need support for a physical condition e.g. back pain, feel free to bring what is needed that will fit into the space of a yoga mat. There is a comfortable chair available.

Disabled Access?
The programme is hosted in a 14th Century protected building and no alterations are permissible which compromises any changes to allow for disabled access sadly.
There are wooden steps up into the first floor, with several steps within the programme area.
The toilet facilities are accessed via narrow steps.
